JazzReach in Alaska

JazzReach completes successful first tour of Alaska and thaws out to tell about it

New York City – On November 18, 2012, JazzReach’s resident ensemble, Metta Quintet returned home (and thawed out) upon completion of a resoundingly successful 12-day tour of Alaska. The tour was made possible through key partnerships with the Concert Association’s of Fairbanks and Anchorage and featured a multitude of events including performances and workshops at schools, libraries, concert halls, elder care facilities, juvenile detention centers, radio stations and night clubs throughout both communities.

“Our visit to Alaska was not only among the highlights of our season, but of our entire organizational history”, exclaims JazzReach Founder, Hans Schuman. “Our presenting partners were top shelf and scheduled an amazing variety of activities which gave us access to broad facets of each respective community. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity and we hope for many returns!!”
