New York, NY – February 12, 2013: JazzReach’s Metta Quintet recently completed a successful three-week tour of California that included numerous educational performances for young audiences, clinics for student ensembles and main-stage concerts for general audiences. Activities took place between January 24-February 12 and were presented in partnership with the esteemed presenters, McCullum Center for the Arts in Palm Desert, the Irvine Barclay Theater in Irvine, The Carpenter Center for the Arts n Long Beach, Pepperdine University in Malibu. The Cerritos Center for the Arts, Torrance Cultural Arts Center, Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks and Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga.
In total, these vital initiatives introduced jazz to over 7500 students in grades 3-12!
